Why doesn't 2K Games make a football/soccer game?
From my perspective, the main reason 2K Games doesn't make a football/soccer game is largely due to licensing issues. FIFA, the international governing body for football, already has an exclusive agreement with EA Sports. This deal gives EA exclusive rights to use FIFA's branding, making it difficult for 2K Games to create a competing product. Additionally, creating a new football game from scratch would be a massive, costly undertaking. It seems that 2K Games currently prefers focusing on its successful franchises, like NBA 2K, rather than risking a new venture in the saturated sports game market.
