ABOUT THE TEAM

PEGASUS Y.F.C.

Welcome to the official website of Pegasus Youth Football Club

I would like to take this opportunity to give you a brief insight into the Club. We were formed in 1980 to enable the children of Stapleford to learn the basic skills of football in a safe and secure environment. This is the same policy the Club still uses today. Its this policy and the hard work of many volunteers that has seen the Club grow over the years to our present total of 21 teams. The most pleasing aspect of the 21 teams is the fact the majority of players are from Stapleford.

In 2001 the Club was one of the first clubs in the county to be awarded the English F.A. Charter Standard Mark. This ensures that, at all times, the children receive the best possible coaching and support from the Club. All coaches and volunteers are CRB checked and all coaches are trained to a minimum of Level 1 Coaching or to an equivalent award.

For the 2008 -2009 Season we will be running boys teams playing in the Young Elizabethan League, Notts Youth League, Derby City And Community Leagues, from Ages 6/7 Up to Under 18. We will also be running a senior Adults team playing in the Notts Amateur Alliance League.

We will also have 4 Girls teams at Under 11/12/13/15 competing in the Notts Girls & Ladies League.

We are based in Stapleford approximately 6 miles from Nottingham. For further details about the ground our teams play on, please use the how to find us section of the website.

Many thanks to all the coaches, volunteers and parents for all their hard work and for making the club what it is today. A big thank you to all the players, both boys and girls, for the way they have represented the Club, with pride and dignity. Over the seasons you have ALL been a credit to the Pegasus YFC.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Should you require any further information, please use the contact us section on the left of this page.

Yours In Sport
Paul Cumberpatch
Club Chairman
